Photographer’s Perfect Side Profile! 29-Year-Old Shunde Woman Got Natural Rhinoplasty for Shoots
A 29-year-old lady from Shunde came to HANFEI Plastic Surgery Hospital for comprehensive prosthetic rhinoplasty,

eager to fix her low nasal bridge and blunt nasal tip that ruined her side-profile photos. As a freelance portrait photographer,
she often stepped in front of the camera for test shots—but she hated how her flat nose made her face look “flat” in side angles,
and the blunt tip lacked the definition she admired in her clients. She wanted a nose that looked natural, even in close-up photos, and could move slightly when she smiled.
We tailored the surgery to her photography needs: for the nasal bridge, we chose a soft ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) prosthesis instead of silicone, because it blends better with natural nasal tissue and looks more realistic in photos—even under bright studio lights. For the blunt tip, we used autologous ear cartilage to add subtle definition, carving it into a slight “heart shape” that complemented her round face. We also adjusted the nasal columella slightly to lift the tip just enough to improve the side profile, without making it look “upturned.”
The recovery was faster than she expected—she had mild nasal congestion for 4 days, but she was able to edit photos from home during that time. When she removed the splint after 10 days, she took a side-profile selfie and said, “This is exactly what I needed! It looks like my natural nose, but better.” By the third month, the nose had fully healed: the bridge had a smooth, natural curve, the tip was defined but not sharp, and it looked perfect in both casual and professional photos. Her clients even commented, “Your side profile is so nice—have you always had that nose?”
